2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Please Help Quick!!!!
Ok, my 2000 SS camaro is running like dog crap. The Service Engine light came on about a week ago. The codes it is running are as follows:
Too Rich Bank 1 & 2
Low Input - Throttle Position Sensor
Emissions too high both catalytic converters
Manufacturer control fuel emissions...or something like that...weird code
Keep in mind that the TPS on my car was replaced less than a month ago...and before i replaced it, my car was running lean codes, not rich. Now it's the opposite and the TPS code came up again. I don't understand what is going on.

I don't remember the code numbers....except for the weird one, i think it was something like p0430 or something like that...not a whiz on diagnostics. No mods except for a Tornado Fuel Saver and a K&N filter...not much of a mod. It's my daily driver as of right now, so I'm leaving it stock for the time being.

im thinking rear o2's could be bad and that explains the running rich, since there is no signal telling the comp to lean out the mixture...
as for the TPS, low input could be an electrical issue with low current/power being the culprit, or there is a pinch in the wire somewhere...
emissions too high would be from running rich...
last one, i have no clue...

Why was TPS replaced?
Check the connection first, if OK return it & get another. There may be a base setting for the TPS -you set with an ohmmeter. Easy to do just a resistance measurement before you tighten it [I just don't know the value], but the 'puter usually compensates anyway. Don't run it much like that or you'll be buying new cats.
