finally, finally it happened
i had been lookin for a 03/04 cobra since i got my 99 ss h/c/i with ls1 edit it makes 410 rwhp before the bottle, and a 100 dry shot . Anyways all i would run into was 99 and older, but last night on the way home it happend. So driving down the 101 holloywood freeway i see one two ahead cars up. Im in 6th so lurk up to his side to make sure its a cobra. Anyways i was little confused once he threw a rev at me as to wheather i sould open my bottle or not. i say screw it and open the bottle. we were going around 60 mph and i was in third he started honking and at three we were off i instantly jumped out a car and then slowly crept away i shut it down at around 110 and had 6 maybe 7lengths. All i know is he had atleast a exhuast. couldn't tell you anymore anyways considering we were on the freeway.but if i find another one do you think i need the bottle next time?

You are prolly around 550 rwhp on the bottle. Good kill!
If it had exhaust, it had a pulley, I would have used the bottle too. You might not have needed considering your mods, but you might not have gotten another chance if he walked you without the NOS.
When in doubt, let it out!

Hard to say if you would have needed it or not, but why not? You've got it for a reason, right?

Bottles are for babys, just kidding, I want one for my car.
A stock termy, you would beat, but not destroy, a pullied termy, you will need the bottle to win.
But remember, a F-body is around 200-230 pounds lighter than a termy. Thats 6% less body weight, So a F bod needs only 94% of a termys horsepower to be a drivers race. The average pullied Termy has 450 rwhp.
So if you have 410 rwhp with a F-body, you will run with a termy that has 435 rwhp. In therory.

Thats awesome man. If I was ever able to beat a Terminator in any car I would be extremely happy with my car. Good job!

Going to tampa saturday to check out a silver one. We almost bought one a few weeks back that looked immaculate but the owner had been smoking something horrbile in it, I just couldn't stand the smell. Here is the link to the one Im going to check out Saturday. Finding a LS1 around here is not hard, its finding one thats been taken care of, and one thats not over priced. This is the cheapest, lowest mile 02 I have seen yet. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=1&cardist=50

HAHAHA, you didn't buy the car because it smelled like weed. Thats hilarious.
They make plenty of product to fix odors, but I kind of like the smell as long as its not the schwaggy blunts roast 'em beeen burning. jfwy.
I may want to sell my car btw, pm if youre interested

Oh contrare mon frere, I am a weed connoisseur. I don't do shwag. This ain't high school nga!
It is like wine, once you have had a 500 dollar bottle, you don't want to go back to Mad Dog 20/20!!!Last edited by Roastem; 06-01-2007 at 08:23 AM.

^ Lol, I've had some pretty good wine when I was in Germany, and though I like some good wine, I'll still drink MD 20/20, lol.

i don't think you needed the bottle but its good to have on tap if you run into a pulleyed and tuned one. a guy around here tunes them and most he does have around 500 or more to the wheels. i'd say the bottle is peace of mind!
so whats your setup? h/c/i? what brand?LS7 clutch,01 slave,Corsa 3" stainless exhuast,drilled/slotted rotors + ceramic pads,160 thermo,Mti clear lid,msd 8.5 wires & Ngk plugs...more to come!

wouldn't mind running a Termy, but if they are anything like that big joke the Shelby GT500, HAHAHAHAHAA, if a C6 base vette can beat it, and I can walk a C6 all day long, waste of fuel.
Without a bottle, I like N/A.
