Is there a risk of taking off those pieces.. and something being messed up underneath? I'm scared I'll take mine off and find something bad.

well you can be my stunt double if you do it to see if it looks good on our model.
persoaly, i think the molding compleiments the g effex bc the g effex stick out a lil with a bulge and the trim kinda matches it. IMO

Yeah.. but at the same time.. since I have my stripes on the sides, I have two lines going down my car. One is very flat/horizontal (The trim) and the other is more slanted (the stripe). I know it's just me being picky, but I think I should have one or the other. I dunno, now I'm scared to take em off.

Thats O.K.!!!
Today, I got the urge to take off all of the moulding since the small piece behind the door was starting to come off. I got into taking the second piece off and then I noticed that the door was repainted with the moulding still on the car! WTF, so........ I just put it back on. I still want to take it all off.
My question: is it possible to remove the moulding and wet sand the area where the moulding was? The paint is exactly the same color, but there is a small run in the paint behing the moulding.
Any help would be greatly appreciated to help me complete this awesome mod!

IMO I would just put it back on and leave it alone till you repaint your car again. I wouldnt risk it unless you have money to repaint the car. Mine is the same way so I am just gonna wait cause I am planning on new paint soon.

Why the F do these shops have to take such a small but big short cut? I know the answer to that, but I just wanna rant!

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm afraid of pulling mine off.

Yea-the last car I got painted was my 87 IROC and I made sure all the trim was pulled off, car painted, and new trim installed. On my 98 z28 where they painted over the side trim you can see its starting to peel which pisses me off. Time for new paint anyways.

at my work, unless it will break when pulled off and is c/p trim mirrors etc are always pulled off, hell, if it isnt painted underneath, just put the trim back on, no biggie.
