Hugger Orange- 1999 CAMARO SS
Help! Car wont start! Weird thing happened!
It all started this afternoon, I went to the store, I came out started the car. It started like a champ, didnt notice anything wrong with it. I was driving maybe like 5 minutes on the freeway when i noticed the gauges were not working nothing was working on them. The radio was still on, the AC was still running and the car was running like nothing was wrong!
I got home and turned off the car, tried turning it on again and nothing! No sound nothign when i turned the key to run. only thing that would turn on is the radio and AC.
HAs anyone been through this? PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I have a 1999 camaro SS
thanks,
Hector

This happened to my car while on the freeway. The gauges all spiked a few times then went dead. A short time later the car died.. Alternator went out.

Sounds like you might have a short or something if it keeps on blowing out.
Best thing to do is get the wiring diagram for the car. This can typically be gotten for free from your local library......possibly even from their online site.(at least it is from mine)

Same thing happened to our T/A. Found out I was using the wrong parking light/daytime light/blinker bulbs. One of the bulb leads would contact both the DRL and turn signal wires, thereby burning up several light sockets, as well as several instrument cluster fuses. Make sure you're running 3057 bulbs before you go deeper. I put some in, and have had no problems since.

Okay, I changed all the light bulbs from around the car.....just to make sure...they are all light...except for the left rear blinker... when i turn on the emergency lights it lights up.....but when i signal to turn it does not light up? and the front is always on...never blinks, not even when i turn on my emergency lights? Any thoughts anyone?
