Is my WS6 a 01 or a 02?
I bought my WS6 from a dealer 2 years ago as a 2002 WS6. I have a 2002 drivers manual and papers and also I know it is a WS6 because it has the code, but the production date say 05/01. I know that the 01 and the 02 didn't really change besides the LS6 manifold, but I just want to know the truth.

where is the cutoff on car productions to distinguish between the years on all cars. I really was curious about that.

Decode your vin # and you'll know for sure. Usually new car production starts late July. And all `01 -`02 cars have the LS6 intake.

Look at the VIN number the 10th digit is the year. What is it?

Typically the year starts in the 7th month of the year before. July of 01 would be a 02 year mode. But like said above tenth digit will tell you the year.

If it is a:
1=2001
2=2002
3=2003
4=2004
and so on.
