My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
There's always something better...
Does anyone get the feeling that the late 4th gens are going to be frowned upon/phased out once the new ls3 cars come out in 08/09? I would just hate to know that once I get an ls1 car that I'll have something that's "old" ya know?
Am I being paranoid or will 4th gens still be respected, or will they be the 3rd gens of 2009?
The only thing that I think is in our favor is the new camaro is a retro car, so it's like comparing apples to grapefruit. If the new camaro was a modern car, maybe we'd really be in trouble.

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
There are Iconic cars from every generation but the LS1 is an Icon unto itself.
Case in point there are more people swaping LSX engines into older cars than BBC into 4th Gens. And an LS3 is still a future bolt in for a 4th Gen F-body.Craig

the ls1, ls2, and ls3 are of very similar designs. if the ls1 f bodies can outshine goats 2-4 years newer, i think they will stay a hugely popular and completely relevant platform. the aftermarket wont stop growing for them, and it seems that GMPP is paying more attention to the platforms recently with new heads and things of a performance nature. anything with an lsx will always be highly respected and will continue to put down major numbers.
NO WORRIES.

Navy Blue Metallic- '02 Trans Am WS6
Your just Paranoid bro. Keep in mind, we got a bunch of mods already out there for us, some of us have highly modded cars, and thats not to mention the fact, 98-02 Trans Am's are the sexiest thing you can get for under 40k. You got power, style, and one of the most unique looking cars ever built man. Your gonna be just fine. The way I see it is, your gonna see a ton of those new V6 Camaro running around, they're gonna be like nats, just like the new stangs. I pull up beside plenty of new mustang GT's and still all the jaws drop for my ride, and its stock. So get you one, slap some killer 18x10 wheels on it, drop it an inch, and make her ROAR.

I dont' think that the 4th gens will ever catch the bad rep of the 3rd gens. It is just the fact that there is tons of parts and mods for these cars. 3rd gen were pigs and nothing to make them fast.
