I get to design performance exhaust system, go to car shows, get drunk and talk about cars, all while getting paid! Now, after a car accident, I do all of that, plus work in the office in sales.

Sweet... thats the sort of thing I want to do as a summer job this summer... I hate anything where you have to deal with customers... so that rules out most jobs as a teenager... but I'm great with computers, I want to look for a job where I just assemble, install, fix computers and shit like that... that'd be awesome

it is..but i'll give you some advice..the only reason why i got the job bvesides experence is becuase the manager said i am very easy to talk to and a very good speaker and that i need that for the job. i love to talk to customers..i talk to them and then i open them up to sell them stuff..

Well I just got home from my first day at my new landscaping job. Let me tell you, I am so worn out. Shoveling and planting all day. My whole body feels like I fell down a bunch of stairs. Anyways, time to blaze a bowl and watch TV.

Oh, and I also got a few comments on my ride too. So I like to think I made a good first impression.

Good stuff- if I was fifteen or twenty years younger I'd definitely look into running my own landscaping/lawn work business. If you have any energy left over, and some free time, consider putting a small ad in the local newspapers or merchandisers. You don't even have to own a lot of equipment- there are people who will pay you $ 20 an hour or more for this kind of work, using their equipment for small or temporary jobs, anything from weekly mowing to seasonal hedge trimming. A great opportunity for extra cash for someone willing and able to handle the work.

That is a pretty good Idea. I would much rather do that instead of eventually getting a second job doing something else. I'd still probably wait until summer though when its warmer, and when my body has gotten back into full "work mode".

If you get serious about it a couple of months down the road let me know, I learned a few things experimenting with this last summer that might help get and keep you customers.

America is a great place- anyone with 10% brains and/or muscle and 90% ambition and determination can usually make a decent living for themselves if they really give it a try.
