i ll tell you what the hell i'd do. i'd sober the fuck up and take a nice long drive down the interstate. put the windows down, the shifter in 6th and let the air clear your head. its alot calmer when done at night. im not trying to deny my age but i promise you that if i had some footage from the last 4 years to show you i would def. be in the running for ls1.coms most fucked up individual. alot of it has had to do with women also. i know this might not be alot coming from someone as young as i, but you have to be introspective. go through all the stages and lose yourself in thought but dont forget that you are far more than divorce papers and bullshit like that. alot of women play games, and perhaps she does still care but drunkeness doesnt change anything, it only prolongs the madness and causes it to change form. stay strong dude. the booze cripples your logic and it always has to turn memories into regret. it took me years of hard drinking, law enforcement, and casualties of friends to realize this.

do what really makes you feel like yourself, do the shit that defines you and dont look back. do not buy into any guilt trips but keep an open mind when dealing with your ex. im assuming since you had a nine year marriage she has some capacity for love and reason. in transitions like this it is so easy to lose sight of who you are and how and why you got to be that way. i say get in touch with your core, and when i say core i mean youre closest friends and family and remember why everyone has your back. for example, when i am in a bad way simply sitting out on the porch with my grandpa helps me to regain reason and a sense of family.

i hate to hear this kind of thing because in a way i know it all too well. self analyze and stay close to you, if that makes any sense.

Thanks guys! Im ok now, I will be fine, as long as I keep both cars (lol) and my dogs, she can have the rest.

Dec. of '05 I was dumped on my birthday at 2:15 in the morning...woke me the fuck up to tell me that lol. now granted i was a rebound,etc. I moped around for a little while and after that I swore it would be the last time. What these guys say is right...cut her off cold turkey and carry on with your life.

Plus think of this...once you meet the right one....this past one will be an after thought. Good luck man

I look at a divorce kind of like quitting smoking. I quit smoking ~4 years ago. Still think about cigarettes but never want one. Give it a little time. You'll think about her here and there but that's all it is. Just a thought.

not trying to make light of the situation here but what movie was that where the woman leaves and gets everything and the guy goes "she got the car, my truck, the house, the kids, the dog...it's not even her dog it's my dog she hates it!"
