how are the slp production numbers for 99 and 01 so low? when i called they said im 1078/11204. did you guys get a more specific breakdown somehow? cause i cant believe in 02 they altered twice as many cars as in 01 and 3 times as many as in 99.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2001 camaro SS A4
2001 was built-out early (May, 2001) for early start-up of 35th Anniversary Camaros.
So the 2001 year was cut short and the 2002 year was started early.
Don't forget the 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro SS Limited Edition. That was 3,369 extra SSs to produce.
Total camaros made V6, Z-28, and SS per year.
'98 48,490
'99 42,098
'00 45,417
'01 29,009
'02 42,098
Camaro SS units per year.
'98 3,017
'99 4,829
'00 8,913
'01 6,332
'02 11,191

mine is #3574, and was built in Dec. of '99. they must've started making the '00s really early to have half the SS's done before the start of 2000.

2000 Camaro SS- 1969 Z28 JL8 crossram, #'
I wouldn't call 1 of 4829 rare. Breaking it down further by 6 sp vs automatic and coupe vs conv doesn't really increase the rarity. I would consider a car rare if there were less than 1000 made and that doesn't refer to breaking down every little combination like SLP does. My 1969 Z28 is 1 of 206 cars made with 4 wheel disc brakes in 1969, that's a rare high performance option. My 1970 Camaro SS396 is 1 of 600 made with the L78 396/375 hp engine which is pretty rare. Adding all the other combination of options and each car is probably 1 of 1 made but that doesn't really count. My old 93 Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car was 1 of 645 made so it was kind of rare, but that Pace Car option was just a dress up package and didn't add any performance so it wasn't a really exciting package.

I almost bought a SS Camaro because it was 1 of 11 with white exterior with a white leather interior. most people don't know they made white leather. I think it was a '99? it had twice as many miles as the car I have now, and the white leather just looked like it would get dirty fast, so I went with my red car with tan leather.
