it all depends what your budget is. i would start with a Lid and K&N air filter with smooth bellows. (that's pretty cheap) A catback system would definately be good as well. I tend to like Borla from what ive seen, and thats what ive got on mine. (Sounds sick too.) I think most people would agree though that these are great first mods. Let me know your budget and ill check back in and give you some more ideas bro.

$1000 to play with, eh? How mechanically inclined are you? I see you are in Kali...do you have to meet inspection standards?
Here's my list for a 6-spd:
$90- Blemished SLP air-intake "lid"
$400- Pacesetter headers/Y-pipe
$400- Dry nitrous kit pilled for a 100shot
Use the remaining cash to get a diff-cover or some LCAs...
List for automatic:
$400- 32-3600 stall convertor
$100- good shift kit
$400- rear gears or lightweight rims/sticky tires
