Any differences at all?
are there any differences whatsoever between the 98+ formulas and non-ws6 trans ams? at least in the earlier years they had different bodies. 98+ the only differences was the ws6 that you would see on almost every TA.... but what about the tas without ws6? just a formula?

whats w68? why would they vary them so much? if a formula has the ws6 package, then the only difference between it is the bumper and side skirts?? seems kinda dumb to me

I think that there were some interior options as well. Someone correct me if i'm wrong on this, but the Formulas came with a basic interior pakage, of cloth seats and standard radio, the Trans AMs got leather and the ugraded stereo and both had the Monsoon stereo as an option.

Arctic White Hardtop- '98 Formula M6
Here is a picture I got off of ls1tech.com. It's not my car, it's someone elses, but It looks exactly like my '98 firebird formula m6 hardtop. (not a ws6, not a firehawk, not a TA)
click to enlarge, sorry the quality blows...

googling isnt always the most reliable.... so correct me if im wrong...
This, is a "Trans Am", and the picture you posted was a "Formula"???.....................
other than the obvious ws6 hood, the only difference i see is the way the fog lights and blinkers are placed, with that little line in the body that is under the blinkers...
so really, a trans am is just the more expensive package of the formula? an equal comparison would be like the GMC Yukon, and the Yukon Denali? etc
i must be an idiot, cuz i NEVER noticed those differences in the front bumpers!Last edited by ATCharming; 04-08-2007 at 10:21 AM.

The whole body on a formula is deifferent in that; the front bumper, and the spoiler, and hood are not like the TA . The "Ram Air" is suppose to add 10hp on the Ws6, which I am sceptical of.

When you search for one of these cars, all you want to see is "5.7 LS1".
I'm so happy I got my Formula. All the TA's were around the same price, but had more miles, (mine had 82K when I got it). After the Lid and, all the free mods, it was basically the same as a T/A Ws6, as far as performance.
