    And the eclipse cars were turbo charged, not supercharged, a gs-t was a 4 cyl turbo, a gsx was an all wheel drive turbo 4 cylinder. (I think)

    Yeah, u were right on that, and thanks, i thought thas what it was, didnt know they had that much hp.

    The WS-6 is much faster. It is down for a new clutch right now. I just got the car a few months ago and haven't had chance to get it to the strip yet. I am looking into a set of M/T et streets for it. Then the next step will be getting some strip time.

    Nice, keep us posted. I have heard good things about the MT streets, but they dont last as long as the nitto DRs, but the traction differance is worth it.

    I don't think my car would keep up with yours at those speeds. Do you happen to know what pulley he is running. With a 3.4 and a tune, he would be lucky to run very high 13's. Anyway, nice kill. Oh, once I get my intercooler installed, I should be running mid 11's this year.

    Im not really sure on the pully.Man you need to post up some vids of that beast after you get your intercooler. Mid 11s is f-in badass for a GTP

    Of course an LS1 is going to kill the GTP on the top end. Now if he had a cam and valvetrain like I got it would be a different story.

    Im the big target in town this summer especialy after this race. He say hes modding more this summer so we'll see. Ill be hard to catch after I get my tune and nitrous. Ill get my buddy to video tape some of the races. My other buddy got this race on his camera phone so it sucks for quality. You hear me car roar by him at about 110 mph its pretty cool.

    That being said, I think my next car is gonna be an 04 Cobra, white with tan inserts

    Ha I would love a cobra, but bump that 5 years of payments. 2 more black Trans am came up for sale in my area, one is a 02 for 20 grand and its auto, the other one isn't a WS6 and its way over priced too.

    I paid 26 grand for mine, it only had 11k miles on it, it was (is) perfect.
    Now Ive seen some for sale in town (Springfield, MO) for 23-24 grand with around 30k miles. That is for an 03 and on Ebay I see 04's for 25 grand with some being highly moded already. They are getting less expensive because of the new body style mustangs, and the new GT 500's.

    In my opinion the 03/04 Cobras are the best bang for the buck, and 450-470 rwhp can be yours with only a pulley, tune, exhaust and a KNN.

    Agreed, I heard the GT500 is actually a little slower than the 03 due the overall piggyness of the 05-07 Mustangs.

    I would like to see that GT500 engine in an 03!

    G = GRAN

    T = Touring (some say Tourismo)

    P = Performance

    I do believe.

    Even with a pulley and a tune you probably have close to a 100 HP advantage over the GTP. But as an owner of a Camaro SS and 01 GTP, I can tell you that the GTP is a capable daily driver. If you encounter a highly modded GTP you may see a different outcome..many of these are running in the 12's/low 13's.

    My father has an 05 GTP Comp G series. Nice car - very adequate to drive anywhere. He wants a GXP, they are the " 303 HP " V8 Grand Prix, they look sharp....... Although on the 04 through current GP's I HATE the headlights and taillights. I don't like the little half-circle information center display in the dash either. Many things on it are super, many to me, suck.

    I bought a slightly used 2003 in '04, a GT. LOVED IT. I liked the 2003 Style Grand Prix's........ And the coupes were great as well. For a four door, they are fantastic.

    And a few of us will be running 11's this year, and still drive it to work everyday...
