Check Gauges Light????
I have a 02 Camaro Z28/Auto and stock, I am getting ready to do a crapload of mods though.
My question is this.... All of the sudden my check gauges light seems to keep coming on for no reason. It says check gauges and I do but every gauge is within perfect range, and by the way... No my gas isnt low.
It seems to be doing it more and more but it seems to concentrate in 3rd gear after a sec. or so.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks

Make sure all your other indicator lights come on when you first turn the key on. You may have a bulb burned out??? Something simple like hatch open or such..........Just a Wild Guess..............LOL
It might still be Fuel, Eng Temp, Batt or oil pressure..............I know that the temp guage is way out. Scanning with HP tuners shows 225 stopped in traffic, the dash guage shows under 200............soooooooooooo.
Be careful.....maybe something important.

Just wanted to say thanks for the reply, it may have helped....
I previously checked to make sure all the lights were working and I thought they were but when I was driving I had just the right amount of light on the dash to see all the hidden lettering on the gauges so I thought of your post and said what the hell and turned the engine off then back on. Turns out... I missed one. One of the lights isnt working, its the low coolent or low wiper flud indicator. Its located at the very top left. I will check it tonight and let you know.
Thanks again

I don't think that's your issue - GM took the low coolant sensors off the F-body for 2000 and up - maybe the clusters still have the outline there. I'll check mine later today.

Well I went ahead and changed my coolent last night and topped off the resovoir, and the windshield washer bottle and so far the check gauges light hasnt come back on. One of the two fixed the problem for sure. I know that the washer fluid tank does have a sensor in it but I dont believe that my tank was low enough in the first place to set it off.
Well anyways... Thanks again for all the posts.
