You'll want to put in a 5 point seat harness. With that you want the shoulder straps mounted on a cross bar 2-3 inches below the top of your shoulders. Otherwise if you crash hard the belts won't hold the top of your body back and you'll break your back. That happened a few years ago with our driver. He survived but he can never stand up straight ever again.

Cool. I just thought there were better safety improvements than a HANS. Seat, cage, helmet, etc., and didn't know if you already had those covered.
It seems to me a linebacker-type neck guard would be just about as effective for everyone except all-out pro's. Plus a HANS keeps you IN the car. Not good in a fire.
But hey, it's your neck, do what makes sense to YOU. $800 is nothing compared to your life.

jeremy; i was in Chardon this past weekend. Man, i was NOT ready for that weather at all! fucking snow up to my calves...couldn't walk the dog for shit, kept sinking in...didn't have boots so my shoes were all wet.
i figured since all the snow melted in cincinnati it had melted there too...wow, rude awakening once i got through colombus and saw 10" of snow still on the ground!
