keep stock 16"rear rims or go to 18" the wider ones?
i have the stock 16 rims but i want wider. is it better keeping the 16 w taller more meat tires( nitto 245) or will i gain using biger thats on the SS. i really just want the performance not really the looks, but what is best?

I'm looking for new rims myself, so this is interesting for me, too.
Thought about 17" with 255/45

17's are pretty much the equal ground good performance and look. 18's and up you start to get into the smaller sidewalls on the tire which has less flex which equalls less grip. 18's+ also tend to have a harsher ride. I'd go with a 17X9 or 17X9.5 with a 275 tire depends on what wheels you get and what sizes are available. Or if you just want some big meats out back go with some 17x11's with a 315.

I was thinking 17x9, do 275s really fit on those?

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
you could always go 16x10 allround.
but then, if you decide to upgrade the brakes, you have to change wheels again.Eugenio_SS
almost stock triple-black 2000 SS convertible with 17x11s on all 4 w/ 315s at the track or on the street with 18x10.5s on all 4 w/ 315s: (1), (2)
