I won't race others if there are peeps in my car, couldn't live with the "what if."

Somebody wants to race, their gonna have to wait til I'm alone...plain n' simple.

Tell ya one thing, that vid is a good advertisement for why you should have a roll cage.

Except...without a helmet, the outcome might have been worse.

But wearing a seatbelt is the law, and all cars come with seatbelts. Adding a roll cage for every day safety isn't as safe as most assume. Unless it's literally just a roll bar to keep the roof from caving, and not a race cage (for drag or other racing), I suppose that might help. Otherwise, if it is a race cage, it'd only make things worse unless the person was wearing a helmet...and that's not practical for every day driving. In general, obeying the laws of the road will keep you out of trouble like that.

agreed but same goes for a seat belt not everyones does it. hence if he didn't maybe he would be better.

True. I guess my point was, preventing crashes like that should be the focus, not adding additional safety equipment to your car. Some accidents can't be avoided, and that's life...but it seems like 99% of the destroyed SRT-4's are simply due to racing and overall negligence.

Plenty, and I mean pleeeenty, of people have been in horrible crashes with the SRT-4 and came out unscathed. It's not a Volvo, but it ain't a Pinto either. The kid was an idiot, plain and simple. Hopefully, he learned his lesson.

No, as in, if he had a cage and wasn't wearing a helmet, his bare head would be bouncing back and forth on metal bars. Not exactly safe.

They have cushioning around them. And there aren't any bars right next to your head. The nearest one would be up and to the left. With a harness and an airbag inflated in front of you, you shouldn't get anywhere near it.
