I agree with BlacKMagicK too, it would be hard to improve on the looks of the 98-02's. AND Im not really down with all these new boxy-shaped cars, that makes them look tougher or somthing. ie; new mustang, charger, etc.

The camaro sales will probably dictate reproduction of the Firebird. You guys buy all the camaro's so I can get my firebird back

Like the 02 very well!! Pontiac should tweek it a bit, bring the bird back, give it t-tops, definetly make it rear wheel drive, and drop V8 350's 400's in them! PONTIAC...please do NOT copy the new mustangs and charger!!!!!!!!

I wonder if GM reads this site. Would be nice. We are after all, the fanatics who BUY these cars.

Everybody loved the 98'-02's so wouldn't it be cost effective as well, you know they have tons of parts, and setting up to remake should be a snap. Only this time, make it with better suspension, maybe even different frame and lower it.

i dont think it needs to be any lower, if anything raise it up so a dual exhaust can properly fit under there without clearance issues and minimize the gap between the wheels and the well

Exactly...that's what I should have said, it's the wheel well thing.
I like the height, don't bottom out on anything, it's just the wheel well openings are huge.
Headers and true dual should be an option as well.

Has any car company ever offered that? I'm not sure but it would be nice.

OK... got to admit.... 2 seats would probably be just fine most of the time. Our rear seats in the 4th and even 3rd gens are for kids.

If you were going to make another 4seater, a little more room in the rear seats would be welcome.

I would also like to see the front engine, rear transaxel setup like in the vette. I would also like to see the pop-up headlights preserved. I know the are problematic, but I like the way the car looks with them.

One in the middle would also be fine by me.

Yes...pop ups, hate that clear plastic look.

Don't think anyone would mind optional Recaro's either.

That's what I say...and Hayes...ummmmm...is your avatar a pic from autotrader? I was lookin at buyin that car, it was a low mileage 6 speed in Fla.

I think the new TA should look different than the new camaro. I mean not as boxy looking. don't kill the nice TA curves of the fbody by making it square/boxy body.

I think most here would argee with you. Seems us Firebird/TA owners love curves!!!!!!!!!!! I think the Camaro should be retro, give us the furturist super slick sports car we want!!!!!!!!!
