How hard is it to switch majors in college?

I am a transfer student from a community college. I have my AA degree in ACTING.

How hard is it to switch majors to something like liberal arts without any prerequisites?

I was going to use my AA to get into a college for acting, then attempt to change it once I was accepted. Or just take other classes that arent my major.

I dont know how stern they are in declaring a major, but I know I have to declare one since Ive done the first two years already.

I know you kids have had to found a way around this...

you have to go into the college you want to transfer into with records of courses you have taken to see if they might be able to count as a substitue for a pre-rec. also, if you have a portfolio of any works, projects, documents, etc, take that with you for them to see first hand.

i have a bachelors of architecture and i wanted to take an art class. Art100, 200, 300 were all pre-recs for this 700 level class. i went in with 3 years of studio projects, drawings, renderings, and models to show them i had the skills for the course. the dean freaked out with what she saw and 10 min. later i was enrolled in the course, with direct permission by the dean...lol

also, are you sure you just can't enroll with undeclared so you can take genaric pre-rec courses?

Damn I dont have anything that extensive for something general other than liberal arts.

I am pretty sure I must declare a major since I have my AA. I am technically a Junior at this point.

I really hope so. I am fucking 26 living with my mother, its time to grow up!

i'm a senior and to change majors at my school all you have to do is fill out a form and then take the necessary courses i started as a bio changed to a psych changed it to bio chem and then switched back to a bio major with a psychology minor which i am graduating with. For me it was just filling out a lot of forms.

Thats exactly my point. I want to get into UF, but i fear my only ticket it is fucking Acting.

I was wondering that after I get accepted and am an official UF student, then I can fill out forms or such.

I want to do Kinesology. Ever since I became a personal trainer, I have been interested in the field. But I dont have any "credits" that show that I have an interest on paper.

Is this going to be a bitch?

BUT, you had already been accepted into that college. HE, is transferring in from another college. the process is completely different...
