All Black- 83, 87, 02 All WS6 T/As
I dunno... that one looks too "ricey" in my opinion.... but the silver one up a bit looks pretty bad ass..... I vote kill the GTO NOW and bring back the 'Bird.

the GTO is dead already... 3800lbs? are you kidding me? and yeah, make the new TransAm 2 seats! 2dr 2seat.. and the design of the silver one just showed, and slap that ls7 motor in...
and I am buying one for sure and so is many sports car enthusiasts.
GM take notice!

This one looks a little better but still pretty ugly. I think the proportions are all off. The windows are real narrow. It seems like the roof is too low in relation to the quarter panels also. If they got of this idea that all the new cars look good with 20" wheels it would help too - 18" max IMO. put on slightly smaller wheels (but they can still be wide
) and then lower the fender lines, keep the roof height the same and then you could make the windows a little bigger. Right now they're like looking out a port hole or something. (drove a Pacifica and they're the same way, very annoying)
I agree with what was said earlier... keep the GTO and Camaro only that way GM doesn't have three cars competing against itself... at least until they come up with a design that actually does the Firebird - T/A name justice.

sick! that is just awesome. that would be more what i would like rather than the retro feel of the camaro. ive said all along that taking certain aspects from the older gens is a good idea but i dont like the whole car being retro..makes no sense to me. that concept is a good mix though. good job.

hunter Green- 92 Camaro RS 350 Special
Still no matter what happens, who keeps making what, it all will come down to who has more money to put into their ride. As i seen mentioned earlier someone said something about the new gt 500 compared to the corvette, and making a t/a run with them by puting a few bolt ons with it. Well you can do that but then whats to keep the vette or gt500 from gettin their bolt ons? And as far as the whole ford vs chevy thing, i think both companys do a great job of keeping american muscle alive. I also belive that chevy has to continue to use there 350 to keep there power ratings up as to where for has done a great job of using a smaller displacement v8 and putting out respectable numbers. So at the conclusion of my rambling id just want everyone to know that i have no clue what point im trying to make

Pontiac should have TA as their flagship car. gto was a nice project LS2 motor, better suspension and interior but they messed up up on the weight...
400lbs more than a TA... oops. come on GM, why make GTO a family car?
oh yeah put freaking 2 seats only... get it right! save the G6 and other projects u got for family car etc...

Hell yeah, I agree! Make a sports car look like a sports car. Low to the ground and aggressive. That silver one is the best concept I've seen so far. With all the talk going around I hope GM realizes that people want the Firebird and T/A back. IMO they should have never killed it. The problem now is that there is so much attention on the Camaro that bringing back the Bird would make them look like copy cats, but, if it is done right they can still blow the Camaro out of the water. The Bird would need a better front end, one that doesn't look like it's smiling at you, bring back the split grill, better, smoother lines and top of the line performance.

I dont like the look of the concept, to me thats just not what i would drive, and that 2002 modeled into a 2003 kinda looks like a T/A bred with a Corvette.

I agree with most here. The T/A, if brought back, should FINALLY be it's own car. Not just a more posh version of the Camaro...and before I get flamed for that statement, just look at the Pontiac interior, then the Chevy and you will see what I mean. They could base something off of the original Firebird concept that was built by Harvey Earl and GM in the 50's...obviously not that extreme but it could be done...make it a real roadster or sports car like the 'Vette

Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
that looks way too much like the 09 camaro.... hey, its a cool car, but its not an f-body. same with the new camaro, its a sweet car, but it JUST DOESNT FIT! the gto and the charger are the same way, little off topic but im realy glad about the new challenger, finally a muscle car coming back as a muscle car.
i thin i heard somewhere that gm demolished the plant that used to build firebirds, so it would cost them a fortune to start production again... i have a feeling it will come back, probably a couple years after the camaro, but i jsut dont think they could top the 4th generations... imo

Artic White- 96 Formula Firebird
Gotta admit... to TOP our 4th gens... it would be tough. BUT... I think if GM was to make a new FIREBIRD, Trans AM, they could may it on it's own platform. Maybe a 4seater vette derivative.
The fourth Gen were very nice. I AM GLAD I OWN ONE!!!! For a 5th gen, maybe they could slope the windsheild back a few more degrees. Drop the roof line a hair. Something really SLICK!!!!!!

Personally, I think Pontiac should go their own way if they bring back the bird. Pick right off where they left off. Probably won't happen, but that would be ideal to me. I have never seen a car yet that (to me) looks better than a 98' to 02' WS6, if I did, I would own it instead of the WS6 I own now.
I don't even know how you would top these cars in appearance, they are rolling masterpieces, I would love to know who actually came up with the design, would like to shake his hand. It's one tough bird to follow.
