Dual Question
I'm still on the fence whether to go w/TD's or catback. I'm keeping my stock manifolds and cats, does anyone have have dumped TD's and if so what mufflers are you using? My car is not a daily driver but I still don't want it to annoyingly loud or droney.

I just got the TSP duals on mine... and I ABSOLUTELY love them. I do wish there was a little more clearance in the back, but I'm going to look into that.... and I didn't think I wanted a loud car either... but I love the sound.. very aggressive. Plus, what real catback can you get for 300?

yup... dropped .66 with just changing the stock exhaust to the TDs! Once I save up a few bucks for labor costs.. more mods are to come.

You're really missing out by leaving the manifolds on, you're best off by doing the full exhaust all at the same time, it'll save you some cash, and give you a real SOTP gain.

I have duals with both 2 1/2 inch pipes going down the passengers side of the car and when over the axle. I used two straight through, noise cancelling mufflers, one located on each side of the rear tub.The sound inside the car is about the same as it was with the stupid "Y" pipe system (Quiet). Outside, you will have a deep tone that may remind you of the muscle car sound of the past. However, it is not overly loud, which is good around town ( That is if you tread lightly on the loud paddle). I had SLP's 3 inch pipe and loudmouth muffler on the car before the duals. I picked up 15 rear wheel horsepower with this setup over SLP's. Oh, use a "H" pipe with an opening no larger than about a 1/2 inch in each pipe for pressure equalization, not an exhaust croseover. You will get some static on that, but believe me, it works. In fact for the best sound, use no connection at all between the two pipes. That is the way we did it back in the day.

Anyone have X pipe TD. I bought some off of Ebay, for 200.00 for 3" with turn downs before the axle. Anyone have thoughts of any experience with this type of exhaust. I personnally can't wait.

The first mods I made were to my exhaust system: Stainless Steel headers/Cats backs down 3in pipe and I went from 366rwhp to 389rwhp.
Not cheap but big difference and sounds incredible...

If I can find a way to make a little more ground clearance where the dumps are, I would be 100% happy... I'm happy. Sounds mean as hell, and I gained 24hp and 19tq with that and pacesetter lTs.

At idle it has a nice low rumble to it... and at certain RPMs you're gonna get some vibrations.. thats a given, but I wouldn't change it. When I get back next week.. I'll see if I can take a video of it.

Oh its definately loud enough.. especially at WOT... might as well not even try to talk until you back off it.. lol. And I was impressed with the gain as well. Just wish I had a few more inches of clearance.

KITTvsKARR: I too had a clearance issue when installed to be honest when the car was lowered my exhaust was so low it actually caught and began to drag an extention cord. Raised the car back up and turned the x-pipe upside down and then got another appx. 3" clearance, still pretty low though honestly but I believe everyones is low like that, another local guy just got them and his is just as low. They marked my xpipe incorrectly thats why I ended up turning it over, then it was alot better. Gotta say I love the sound.

Only clearance prob is right at the dumps... if they would be facing sideways, I wouldn't have much of a prob.... but they are diagonal.. so I might have to end up sawalling them flat.. I dunno yet. Still more than worth it.
