Stock vs. stock an LS1 will destroy a VR4. Those cars are heavy pigs, lose a ton of power to AWD, and really aren't all that fast. Plus they break constantly, so he might not even finish the race
With mods it just gets worse for the VR4.

Yeah there like 3800lbs and its Mitsubishi, so I vote ss. The Vr4 is a rare car tho ive probably only seen like 2 of them ever, maybe cause they dont last

With bigger turbos and good tunning, Ive seen VR4s get into the low 12s. The one I raced, was fast off the line. Makes sure you know what he's running b4 you put money down for a race.

I wouldnt under estimate it, deffently ask around about the VR4 see what he is running.

heres a 99 that edmunds.com tested.....they obviously cant drive as the car only ran a 14 flat at 105mph..........but they tested it FASTER than a c5 as stated in this article ..heres part of it and ill link u to the whole thing
"How capable?" you ask. Our testing netted a 5.4-second zero to 60 time, which makes only the Viper GTS (4.9 seconds) and the BMW M roadster (5.25 seconds) quicker in Edmund's® performance-test database. This puts the Mitsu ahead of the Corvette, NSX and Porsche 911 we recently tested. The 3000GT also scorched the quarter-mile in 14 seconds flat at 105 mph and stopped from 60 mph in a chest-compressing 125 feet

I got into it with a modded one a few years ago he had one car on me when we started and one car on me at 125. They can be made to be pretty quick.

I had a VR-4 and it was a dog. ss will smoke it. Turbo lag is horrid on those cars. Its like driving a tank

Ok, all my friends tell me they run low 13's stock... They're pretty hard to come across... But they'll give you a good run. Very easy to make them into the 12's.

I tend to disagree. Just like us Z28 owners like to put aftermarket goodies on our cars, alot of VR4/Stealth owners do the same. They know their car is heavy. Granted, it not cheap to make them fast... but the VR4s come stock with turbos and just turning up the boost can make them a little faster.
Im not saying you'll find alot of 11 second VR4s, (you will find a hell of lot more Z28s that are 11 seconds and faster) but if you run into "tuned" VR4, in the street, it wont be a an easy win.
Hell, even a crappy little Subaru can give you a heck of a race:
The the camaro had the luxury of a burnout to warm his tires!

don't you ever get tired of import bashing........i mean there are so many ways to bash them FACTUALLY, why do you insist on making stuff up....do you ever have facts?.......why are all 300hp AWD cars always slow pigs.....but lt1s and ls1s are godlike in your eyes.......13s are 13s regardless....Wessman, a joke is one thing ...but dude your obsessed....
02 z28 auto...13.1s@109mph on stock tires with 80+ temp....lid,filter,corsa cat back,hpp3.

Right...so a 3800lb, AWD Mitsubishi VR-4 putting down 230WHP is somehow the same as an F-Body which weighs 3450lbs and puts down 300WHP.
Thats a difference of 350lbs and 70WHP. You do the math, its not even close. Those cars are complete garbage, my friend had one, and he had to replace both turbos with only 100K on it, not to mention all the other problems it had -and it wasn't even that fast. It was a huge piece of shit, so he traded it in for an '04 Mustang Cobra. Its fast as hell and has zero issues. Mitsubitchi sucks, get over it.
