i shaved my emblems...
my corvette is a sleeper now... know one will know... ha ha ha... i took off the truck and bumper emblems... one problem... there are alignment holes in the bumper for the front emblem...
oh well the worst thing that could have come from this is that i shaved the back one (which im glad is gone) and i cleaned around the front one if i reapply it (which we all know they collect gunk)
i cant find my cam and it actually looks a lil wierd without the emblems (not even counting the holes), but i think im gonna keep them off for a while till i see how i like it...

Why would you take the emblems off a car?

y not?
well honestly... they had gunked up wax all around them... and i hate the one on the trunk... glad its gone... the one on the front... yeah the front looks just odd without it and i would have to do body work to get it looking right, but its gonna go back on... or i may try to get a custom emblem made or just find one from something to put on it... maybe and angel with light up wings... or a goat or something...
man i just kinda wanted to see how it would look... i was thinking about blacking it totally out... so i would have a car that kinda stuck out in the crowd...

Ya I know what you mean. I wanted to do something to enhance the look of mine but then in the back of my mind I think about how it is a Vette and that the shouldn't have stuff taken off and put on etc. If you like it though thats all that matters.

I wouldn't take the front one off. It looks great there I think. The one on the trunk, I can probably take it off, but then again, I haven't decided yet

none in the trunk... there are some in the front bumper... i need to have it professionally detailed and have the grime line really taken out... but you dont notice it unless you are as anal as i am about looking at the car so it ill be ok till i have some other work done to it...

The thing I don't like about taking all the badges off is usually ends up looking like someone had a cheap paint job done and they didn't want to pay extra for new badges or have them put back on. The back looks ok with out it though.

a completely emblem less car... i can see your point (which right now it is), but once i get the front one back on i dont think anyone will even notice its gone... it will just look smoother to them... kinda like the side molding on a t/a or camaro...

I like some badgeless cars, it looks smoother that way. You can't pull it off on a Z28 but on a vette it's just cleaning up the lines. I give a thumbs up.

I think it only works on certain cars. Some look good and others just look bad with that stuff gone.

You can get some plugs from most any body shop and use touch up paint for the holes...
This is my signature. It is mine. Nobody else has one like it.
