hey 96 ss, ive found a decent used red 96 ss with cloth seats locally. did they come with cloth? the body is in great shape and it was undercoated originally so no rust, but it has 106K on it. im looking for one with a nice body, something i can fix up and drive. I have a 99 and an 02 but nothing compares to the originals. would 5 grand be a good deal for something like that? anyone know?

Bright Rally Red- 1996 Camaro SS
have you gone through and check for the SLP options sticker in the door and on the cowl and for the YU8 (i think thats the right code) SS code. some did come with cloth interiors. if you can get it for 5k you are setting on a great deal. mine had 78k when i bought it 3 years ago and i payed over 10k for it. also the 96 SS's have an idividually numbered dash plaque behind the shifter. sounds like you are on the right track. you have any pics of it?

Good choice,There is a 01 or 02 sunset orange ss in town
that has them + it looks awesome, really adds to the back of the car. Those single chrome tips on each side
just don't cut it, they look like cheap parts store add ons.
But sorry don't know where you can find any.
Did you try SLP. Nice brand new , New old stock, would be the best if available. Is SLP still Around?
I wonder if they will do anything with the new camaro when it gets here.

yea slp stopped making them a while back and they dont have any left over. i tried that route. i did hear though that some company will be making replica tips that look exactly the same as the slp ones. dont know how true it is though. I have the quad center loudmouth exhaust on my 99 and it doesnt fit rite, best to stick with the dual center ones i guess.
