Headlights?

I know this may sound like a common question but I'm new to the trans am and i'm having trouble with my driver headlight not flipping up on my 98 it pops up once and a while?

Drive gear is stripped. can be replaced.

sounds like bad motor or gear same happened to me i had to replace whole motor .it doesnt cost much

I had a gear strip on me before. When it did, the lights would pop up and back down when I locked the car with my remote.

I would also get a long grinding noise when they would go down. If you don't get any grinding or sound, I'd say the motor would be gone, unless there is an electrical problem.
