Maybe I'm wrong, but it always seems like the Camaro of the Muscle car era was one of the most popular and talked about, alongside the Mustang. Never really heard much about the Firebird abck then really, at least from my expierence of talking with people I never did.

With the financial crisis GM is in, it wouldn't make sense to essentially make 2 of the same vehicles like this again. I mean the differences between 93-02 camaro's and firebirds were what? Firebird=fiber glass body and flip up headlights? Other then that they were essentially the SAME, along witht he fact they don't know how the Camaro is going to sell, it would make no sense to come out with a new Firebird at the same time.

None-the-less all this retro-concepting is about bringing back the most popular muscle cars from the muscle car era, ie- Mustang Camaro Challenger GTO and so on, personally I don't include the Firebird or Trans Am in that list, hence it may never be brought back again.

Sure it's a possibility, as most anything is, that if the Camaro does well the Firebird MAY come out, but I see it as a very slim possibility...

well i'm just glad chevy is comin out with a dual exhast muslecar
the fact that its a retro design makes it that much better
i'm tired of the mustangs,cobras mostly thinkin they rule the streets
i may have to wait but after add the supercharger and stroking it out it'll be well worth the wait

mustangs dint suck.... nooow they do because of the mod motors ! exept the cobra. they just are to small...you will run across one, one day you'll like

I like new shit and wish they would do some new cars that are not retro with new name plates that really kick ass! Just like the GTO if they didn't use that name no one would have whined if they called it something new when it first came out here.

i think that would be kickass! they should bring out something new with some balls......they should put some new shit out to say that something great came from my generation! hehehe
