Tube in airbox
What does the tube in the airbox do in 2000-2002 years. And how can i stop it becuase when i first turned it on it did a sucking noise then it has stopped now.

NBM- 2001 Trans Am WS6
It goes to the air pump, I removed mine. I think its just something emissions related.

It's part of the AIR system - emissions - supposed to do that on a cold start when the AIR pump runs, turns off after a couple minutes.

But i have emissions where i live does that mean if i remove it i will fail the emissions test and also how do i remove it. (Air pump)

As mentioned in the other thread, just clamp on a small breather filter to it, ...
