Holy crap NHRA! I putting them in next friday y-pipe in or not. I have waited 3+ weeks for this 2 piece y-pipe and I'm sick of it. I just e-mailed the guy again because he told me it would go out this past wednesday. Said he would call them yesterday and get back to me. I'm going to call my credit card company and tell them to cancel payment and same w/pay-pal. I will go to RPM after I install them and get a custom y-pipe made and a tune. If I can see those kinds of gains I will be happy. LS6 intake will sit a little longer so I can get either 36 or 42# injectors too.

Spending more money now will most likely save you much more money later.
It doesnt suprise me that most people will try and disagree with me. After all some people refuse to believe that Kroger and Walmart gas is NOT the same as a top tier gas (Chevron, Shell ect).

and i was talking about how long uncoated headers last also.
Chicago has some messed up weather and the cheap ass cyclones lasted threw atleast 5 chicago winters. surface rust on headers yes, rusted threw, no.

if somebody wants to go bling bling and have some pretty looking headers, go for it.

I don't know about all that but one of the first posts in this thread has a nice shot of INMY01TA's right big toe. Man your toes are better than mine if I tried to put mine up the moderator would block them!

when i dynoed the headers, it was on a ls1 intake.
the only mods at the time were a volant cai, magnaflow catback and stall converter.

only bolt ons i dont have is a ported t/b or pulleys.
im not modding my car anymore, its fast enough for me for now.
if i throw on some slicks, hello 11s

does a stall converter affect dyno numbers?

How much of a difference should i expect when i go from my shorties to these headers with an ORY. someone also told me that i should get an x pipe cuz it flows alot better than the y pipes do, is that true?

to use an x-pipe, you will be going to a dual exhaust set-up. the point of an x-pipe is to merge the exhaust gases for a much better and consistant pulse to even out the spent gases. yes duals w/x-pipe will flow better than a y-pipe (factory configuration). if you do not plan to go to a dual set up, you will have to stick to the y-pipe to line up w/your existing system.

yea i knew you would have to go true duals and all that but i just didnt think that would make more power than the y pipe set up. I wish i could do that but i just bought my cat back a couple months ago. What are the gains with an x pipe over a y pipe?
