Ok so my husband is in need of a new truck. Would it be wiser is use his 30k re-enlistment bonus to pay cash for a new car or make payments, with a low interest rate, and invest the 30k? See where I'm going with this?

I get the point/idea, but any interest paid to a bank is taken directly off of any investment that you make in that comparison. Example is: If you have, for example, a credit card debt of say $10,000 @ 9% interest, you have no business investing money until that's paid off. See where I'm going with this?

Also, as far as new vehicles go, I wouldn't buy new anyway. Everyone knows that new vehicles are a bad investment. There are many ways of looking at it, everyone's financial situation is different too.....even IF there is a better way, many folks can't afford it anyway.

Haha. Too bad Hotrod (aka Tony Montana from Scarface) won't tell us who it is! But for some reason I also doubt he is the owner of any strip clubs. It would be so easy for him to just post a pic or two to show us a photo of one of his clubs with a girl or something. But nope, not even that.
