WS6 Definition?
Hello everyone,
I have a 99 TA WS6 Convertible. I have been looking all over to find out what WS stands for. Anyone know??Last edited by paquinra; 08-14-2006 at 01:47 PM.

gm uses 3 letter codes known as "RPO" or "regular production options" to determine the spesific options in the vehicle.
You can find them on the inside of the driver side door. WS6 is just an option code just like LS1, LT1, WU6 and so on.

I'm not positive but i think he literally means he wants to know what WS stands for? like WS = World Sport or something like that. or maybe that's not what he meant.

Let your imagination run wild on the WS. It's just an RPO code that GM uses like WU7, WS9, etc etc

"WS6" is an RPO code that was first used on the '78 Trans Am....it was an option package that included wider rims, thicker sway bars, disk breaks, ect...Pontiac continued to use that RPO code for higher performance packages on subsequent Firebirds...
