I saw a guy on US17 in Myrtle Beach hold a wheelie for at least a half mile at 65mph. Just wearing shorts. I have to admit, I was keeping an eye on him just in case he lost it. That would have be a 10 in entertainment value for others, not very good for him. But he didn't lose it.

A motor cycle has a VERY high profile/ center of gravity/ all in all alot of wind resistance.. what do you honestly think would happen if you went on your crotcher at 140mph and do a wheelie?

But your right his calculated speed is about 169 mph give or take.

And, I admit I'm impressed.

Wind resistance... aka hydroplaning... aka lift

I would assume he can not stop the bike from the wheelie unless he lets off the throttle, several times you'll see his front end drop to the ground.

happens to cars who don't have wind deflectors below the bumpers... they lift up, and give less high speed traction.
