06 Mustang GT vs. 99 z28
I have owned 2 z28's and now have an 06 Gt and I love both cars and will more than likely own a 2009 Camaro....
Raced a guy in a 99 Camaro ls1 (5 times today) he had exhaust work done and he was driving an automatic. The first 4 races were from a 20mph roll and results were identical each time, I pulled him real hard on the bottom and not so hard on the top. When I reached approx 100mph I was no less than 3 cars ahead. Last race we went from a dig and he got me on the jump (3 honk tecnique with him honking) but I reeled him in before redlining in 1st and then it was basically the same as the other races. We talked for a while after we did all the racing and he stated he was pretty surprised by the results. I told him if I were stock he would have walked away from me, which is probably right. Anyway I had to pay a few $$$ to wake up my stang, that is what it will take for any new stang owner who wants to fool around with ls1's. I miss my Z28 and I am anxiously awaiting the 2009 Camaro's.Last edited by raybroussard; 06-28-2006 at 07:48 PM. Reason: add sigs

My first z28 was a 1981z with a 350ci motor and a 4 barrel carb! My second z28
was a 1995 with lots of mods (lt4 knock sensor, underdrive pullies, moroso cold air intake, throttle body coolant bypass, y pipe, throttle body foil, cat back exhaust and a few other little goodies. I got rid of the cars because it was time due to age and repair costs etc.... They are both missed! This is my first mustang and it has been enjoyable so far. It is only about 4 months old.
Happy racing!

06 PBM GTO(458WHP)SOLD!!- 06 TR GTO~476WHP 425TRQ
Sweet!!! What you run??? My stepdad has an 06 tungsten stick with the chrome 18s with a SCT tune and JLT intake and went a 13.6@105 and just installed FRPP 4.10s last week. You should be running a good bit faster than that?
