Best camshaft

Hey all, first post here. I was wondering what the best camshaft for my '94 z28. I have to pass CA emissions. I was looking for the one that will work the best with stock heads that I hope to have ported by the end of july. Also what would be the best valvetrain upgrades to go along with the cam. The drive ability is not an issue unless the car tries to die on me at every stop. I have intake, shorty headers, y-pipe and cat-back done already. I'm looking for one that will pull from the mid to high rpms.

With a good tune, an LT4 Hot Cam will pass emissions in California so I understand. Not the best cam in the world but emissions is gonna limit your options a bit.

hi, i have a very similar question so i don't want to start a new thread for it. my friend has a 93 Z28 Lt1 with an eddelbrock exhaust from the manifolds back, gutted catalytic conv, and a cold air intake. my questions is this: what would be the best cam to install to make the most power gain, emissions aren't a factor, however this is street car/daily driver so it has to be able iddle pretty easily. also, i will be installing all new valve train components for him, so is their an all inclusive valve train kit that will make this a little smoother. thanks for any assistance

NerfRider: I would look into the Comp Cam 305. Its a good cam and can pass emission's..

Rader: I would look into the CC 306 or get ahold of Bret Bauer..
