I have the SLP Y-pipe installed on my 2002 convertible TA and have found it to work OK with some caveats. The SLP pipe will definitely flow better than the stock as it is a nice clean round tube all the way back to the exhaust pipe. However, because it is a larger diameter it likes to bump the drivers side floor board. I fixed this on mine with a Mufflex Y-Pipe Support Bracket which allows you to apply adjustable tension to the pipe just under the drivers floor. Very easy to install and adjust. The second problem on a convertible is the Y-pipe has to pass through the x-brace across your tunnel. The SLP Y-pipe will only fit if you put a large number of washers on the bolts to create additional space and even then it may not fit. I took my x-brace off entirely but I do have SFCs installed so I’m pretty comfortable that I have not lost any stiffness in the body. Hope this helps.

I had to lend my DD to my son-in-law which means I have to awaken the T/A from it's slumber and take it's nice warm covers off ! Luckily, the weather here is supposed to be in the 50's & 60's thru the week. Good excuse to get it out and blow the cob-webs out from under it !!

Our road is so bad right now that there is no way I can drive any of our play cars. Another month or two is my bet right now.

I got 23.4 mpg, on the last tank of gas, and I wasn't really trying that hard. Been getting between 22-23 mpg lately. Not bad for a 160k V8.

I got my ride out of hibernation yesterday. Today is suppose in the mid 70's!!! Got her all cleaned up with some soap and water. While doing said cleaning, notice the drivers side t-top has a small drip of water coming from it. Allied a lil dap of Permatex to it and let it dry for a few hours. Then reinstalled t-top over night. It looks like it has resolved the issue, guess I wont know until I toss a lil water on there.

Well....
Happily i can join in the fun 'cos mine had a drive out for the first
time this year!
Lovely sunny spring like day and she drove just fine.
The only concern i had was on start up as the battery had been out
for many weeks as it needed a charge and i wondered whether the
computer would make the car run weird or anything like that but all good.....

I too drove mine a little bit yesterday. I refuse to go through town too much as the roads are dirty, we need good hard rain to clean it all up. But it was nice to drive it. I forgot how much road and wind noise these cars had

I JUST got around to doing the spring mod on the hatch yesterday ! I can't believe I 've put up with having to hit the button multiple times all these years. It was so easy. Works great now - pops right up !!
