Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
I did ask him if he was screwing with me. His response was that their delivery guys weren't the smartest and I don't want them doing anything beyond plugging something up. So they send a special tech out for the other 2. The microwave did require me to drill new holes since it didn't line up with the old bolt holes. But I mean really come on.

Went north this afternoon. Traded is some of my broken Craftsman stuff, bought shoes for work and munched Chinese for dinner.

Tools are staged and ready to load for another trip to the building. Just waiting for it to warm up a bit first. I worked on the M151-A1 head this morning. Cleaned the valves and did some cleaning on ports and combustion chambers. So far everything is looking good. The rings arrived on Friday - I think he ended up getting them from a vendor in England. NOS parts from 1973... pretty cool. There are no marks one set of rings, so I am guessing that there is no "top" or "bottom" when they are installed.

Finished working on the entranceway roof at the building, installed some shelves, and swapped out the Trans Am for the Camaro. Going to install new brake hoses, repack the front wheel bearings, and pull a valve cover to see what kind of hardware is under there. I'd like to switch out the high rise M/T covers for a set of period correct stock style GM finned aluminum covers.

test fit the new bmw seats after fixing the red rockets oil leak...Not happening. I knew I should have measured before I picked em. tracks are just too wide and there's no practical way to modify anything to work. pretty hard to narrow up the tracks 7" on a full power seat. oh well, from what I've read online, though, these were desirable seats in the bmw community, so I should be able to dump them pretty easy and possibly make a few bucks.
So, while the stockers are out, I'm installing the stereo system. Managed to get the head unit mounted up and powered. Rca cables, amp turn on, and some speaker wires run under the center console and under the carpet to the trunk, and the 4ga. power wire run from the front of the car under the passenger side sill plate. Nothing quite like adding weight to a vehicle...Last edited by Zapper2003; 03-26-2016 at 04:11 PM.

I can't remember, but it's either REO Speedwagon or ELO that's in the tape deck that was in it when I got it. Still works, too.

damn....I shoulda went REO. You know that's been played in that car 1000 times even if that's not what is currently in the tape deck. There's also been a long handled comb in that bitch at some point too.

Drove the car today for the first time since October. She's still loud and fast.

My battery was at 2% because I didn't keep it on the trickle charger nor did I start it all winter. Took about 45 min to get it up to 65% and it fired right up and idled great. Drove it around for about an hour. Hopefully the battery kept its charge.
