Just purchased a 2002 Camaro SS auto. More than pleased with
So I bought a 2002 Camaro SS auto 3.23 gears. Based on the research I've done I thought I was capable of being in the 13.0-13.2 range only mods that I know of is SLP longtubes, airlid, and tune. When I got my timeslip I was ecstatic to the least.
1.89 60'
12.65 ET
108.9 MPH
So my questions is just installed a 227/235 112 cam and getting a mild build on the trans with a 3500 stall. And a retune.
Will I see 11.9999999 lol my next trip to the track?

Yowza! That is an incredible time for those limited mods. I tracked our car's progress in the quarter mile very carefully and your E.T. is equivalent to one with some suspension mods, 3.73's out back, full exhaust, a tune and dedicated track tires. With those mods our car went 12.8's and it took a higher stall converter to dip it below that. Very impressive and I presume you had a decent D/A the day you ran it?
To answer your question, a good cam can easily put these cars into the high 11's especially with a higher stall converter.

Just bought the car and already know it well enough to run 3 identical passes. Impressive dude.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Could be just 1 of those "freaky fast" cars from the factory. Some LS1's are 13.50 cars, some are 12.90 cars 100% stock. My LS1 TA was a turd. I ran a best 13.40 100% stock. I had a Z24 cavalier that was quick from the factory. I could smoke any other Z24 buy almost a whole second in the quarter. I gutted my cat, installed a K&N and ran a 13.89 @ 89 mph in the old cavy. I can believe he ran those times in some nice cool November air in his LS1. Times slips would be nice also, but then who's to say they are his slips.
1998 Pontiac TA, stock heads, FAST 90, FAST 90 TB, FLP LT, off road y-pipe with cat delete, flow master muffler, comp cams 54-457-11 223/231-610/617-112 LSA, Pro charger D1SC with FMIC @ 8psi, FROST tune, VIG 3200 stall, built 4l60e, snow meth kit, MOSER 12 bolt 373 gears, Derale 13900 trans cooler.

I knew there was more to this story, There was no way I would believe anyone could run three very quick and extremely constant passes with out the help of 8yr old and I'm guessing quite hard M/T track tires. I'm interested in knowing what the elevation change is from the start to finish line at your track?

From the research I've done elevation is 10ft. I have no Idea how accurate that is. Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown tx.

That's pretty close. The town itself is at 5m or about 16'.

Damn... that is impressive. With a stall and better tires you can easily drop that 60' into the 1.6 second range or better. Your top end mph is right on the money for an A4 equipped car. Just for giggles, check your rear end ratio and see if someone slapped 3.73's into the housing.

Car definitely has 3.23 gears. Doing a 227/235 cam, billet circle d 3200-3500 convertor. Getting my trans built. Really hoping to see 11.999999 lol

I'm pretty sure, a torque convertor alone will get you on average .5 quicker in the quarter. The mph will probably be about the same. The cam will def add a few extra ponies and that will raise the mph a few. I don't see any problems at all getting that 11.99 your looking for. I highly recommend BEFORE running at the track again, is for you to get some sub frame connectors. With the added hp, a hard launch is really gonna put a ton of stress on the car sub frame. The last thing you wanna do is start twisting up the car. The doors wont shut correctly, the T-tops wont fit correctly, etc. Just my $0.02.

SFC's are a great addition to any car, added power or not. They are also a very reasonably priced upgrade.

x2. I've tracked my car enough times without SFCs. Next time it will be equipped.
