it looks good. I dipped mine a while back but peeled it off like a month later.

polished lip wouldnt look bad, but you still lose the snowflake piece if you paint it black...now if you wanted to get REALLY creative "and cuss every 5 minutes" you could mask off the spokes of the flakes and just paint the inside pieces black...
everything that is gold could be painted black...or the color of your car and I think it'd look great.

my biggest complaint is that it lost its glossy finish pretty quick...they do make a gloss coat that you can put on top of the plastidip but i've heard it makes it a massive PITA to remove if you use it.
