Not really sure what point in posting that was as that is way out of the price of the trucks I have been looking at if you read this thread at all lol.

Found a 3500 I may be able to afford as well. It is a 2009 LTZ with 73000 miles on it.

Lol as I said in my previous post if you don't need to haul or tow anything big it doesn't make sense to own one. Higher cost, to own and operate. Will eat diesel, which also costs more than gas atm. But if none of that matters to you then go for it.

I was more or less joking lol. I mean if I could get a real deal on one I wouldn't be opposed to it though.

Mine doesn't do bad on the highway, although it would do much better with smaller tires. I still see 20 mpg. I bought the diesel for two primary reasons 1) Haul the race car and 2) longevity of the truck. Now the diesel engine can run forever while the rest of the truck falls apart around it.

The 5.3 liter lasts to 200k+ all the time. I know some diesels make it to 500k before the engine is in serious need but very few people keep vehicles that long and as you said by the time that happens you have replaced 4-6 transmissions, 3 rear ends and the suspension about 8 times.

Those might have been exagerations for the average consumer lol. If they were work trucks I would expect something like that but for the average consumer you would probably only see 2-3 trans replacements.

Look and see how the front of that truck was "leveled". It's up pretty high (too high). If they just cranked the stock bars, they're putting a lot of added stress on them, and they should be turned back down. If they put in keys, it's not quite as bad, but still puts additional stress on them, and will make it ride exceptionally harsh. It also puts more angle on the stock front half shafts and will wear them out quicker.

Looks like a nice truck though, and with the best looking wheels chevy ever put on a half ton

Yeah you're right I forgot. It's the coil spacers, not the torsion bars. So yeah, it wont have any spring or ride issues, but the headlights are probably blinding people, and the front driveline angles are still increased. And it wont take loads very well (the reason trucks are "raked" in the first place).
