Maroon- 2000 Trans Am
New to this forum since I just bought a 2000 Trans Am.
I've also been tinkering with my son's 2000 TA and we're now dropping a 6.0 LQ4 in his that should put out about 450 at the rear wheels. Getting it tuned in about 2-weeks by DBR in Spring Hill TN.
Steven. I'm ordering one of your starter bridges for my TA I just bought from a kid who had this issue. I wonder what your lead time is since you say you make them once you receive an order.
Also, does anyone know why this happens in the first place? A friend of mine who worked for GM told me it has to do with the crank positioning sensor going bad and the engine kicks back the starter when engaged. He said to replace the CPS and buy the bridge which is the easiest and toughest fix out there. Funny thing is he said you needed to flash the computer too. I don't know why you'd need to do that?
He has done a few block swaps when he worked for GM and they charge a ton.
Plus with the bridge you don't have to remove the engine which takes a lot of time.
With an air grinder and a good High Speed Steel bit, you can grind away enough aluminum to clear for the bridge in a few minutes. You need to right tools or it can be a pain.
I'll post pics here of the whole process once I'm done.

Sorry but I have been off the site for a while
The starter bridge works great, you have to grind off a corner of the ear on the twang case where the thread broke, then get everything aligned before you tighten it all down.
Here's the web site is

Ok so i dont know how to edit post.
I got this nice email about my post. Seems you need to give them money to let others be able to contact you.
So edit my post. I work alot of hours at the shop and dont have time to get on here and keep up with you guys.
Id like to say thanks for the people who have used my product. Im just glad i am able to help out those in need and fix there problem.
I know in the past i have been slow to get them out.
I am a 1 man shop and its a transmission shop. I stay busy and get behind.
i am new to this Pr work on computer and frankly just dont have time to keep up on these sites.
I have always tried to fix problems that others have like this bracket.
I designed it, copyrighted it to protect my investment.
That being said i have not seen one post edited when they want to steal or copy what i worked hard for.
That being said thanks again and im glad i could help those in need and you can find me on facebook under my name.
Or just find me through other satisfied customers.
Steven
