Metallic Blue- 2002 Trans Am WS6
What would you do with 5,000?
So i have found myself in a very unique position... i have my 2002 TA Ws6 LT headers, SLP straights, 4L85E trans, and upgraded brakes, maybe some other things not too sure as i just bought it, and also a 2011 Jeep wrangler unlimited (stock)
And its coming down to either putting 5G into the jeep which would give me
4 Inch suspension lift
35" tires
new wheels
Smitty built rear bumper with tire gate
ORD front stinger bumper
and some exhaust work
or i could put it into my new car and get..... well see thats the problem. idk what i would want so id figure that id open it up for a discussion and let you guys tell me what you would do..
(keep in mind my last Ws6 had twin turbos and all the supporting mods.. just not looking to drop 25G into this car incase i lose it like the last one, id like to do an all motor car i think)Last edited by Sadie2; 03-14-2014 at 12:52 AM.

The Trans Am would be getting either a 12 bolt or 9 inch with 3.73's, subframe connectors, and a heads/cam package. There goes the $5k...

5k....hmmm....at this point in my build I would get a Procharger system since I've already touched everything else. But in your case I'd have to think about it.

I have double that in parts alone with my Procharger setup. FI is definitely not cheap! You could probably piece a system together for much cheaper though. A lot of my added cost came from the FMIC, Alky kit, washier fluid tank conversion, Aster tensioner and gauges I chose. All those things aren't included in the base kit prices you see which run around 5-6K in themselves.
I'd do exactly what I already did. Build the car to handle power first, then add power. Suspension and drive train upgrades can swallow up 5K quickly. A rear end alone is $2500. Shocks are $500-$1000, depending on which brand. Subframe connectors, LCAs, PHB, sway bars, drive shaft, safety loop for drive shaft, and tires to hook. There goes your 5K and still stock power lol. Don't forget about a stall and exhaust/headers tooBoost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

I would grab some 243 heads and a intake manifold and retune.
10secWS6 If you can't swing it, then don't bring it
