It's great not to need heaters except 1-2 weeks out of the year here in the south. It's all about the trade offs of the areas in which you live in.

I had my high efficiency unit installed for $1600 - goes to show how much the bigger "corporate" businesses are raping people. My new AC unit with everything included was $1,000.

I just did one this weekend my cost was $620 for the outside and the A coil inside ran me $250 that was a 1&1/2 ton unit (smallest) unit you can get not including my like sets which were $250 for a 50' run plus my electric and outside disconnect on the electric I buy all my stuff from a supply house at a discounted rate

A friend of my father is an HVAC guy who worked for someone who owned a construction business. He installed the new unit outside, wired it (existing wire used), and installed a new A-coil. As far as the furnace, just (2) Joe Bob's I know who do house construction work. They offered me the low efficiency furnace (80-82% I think) for like $1200 installed so I asked what they would charge for the best one they offered which was in the 90 percentile and they did it for $1600 installed on a Saturday.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.
