Had a completely shitty end to an already shitty week. Hit a trashcan on the way home and destroyed one of my headlights.

Trash can out in the road, or did you lose it somehow and mow some guy's lawn?

I'm not exactly sure where that accusation came from. But yes, large heavy duty trash can and a road with 0 street lights.
Thanks for the offer man. I found one on e-bay last night that is the same color, it had some scratches on the door but if they aren't too bad I will probably just bolt it up as is. If I need anything else I will definitely let you know.

No accusation -- just the only two ways for it to happen that I could figure. Our trash pick up is in the morning, so it is not uncommon to see empty cans blown out into the road on windy days after people leave for work.

No worries. Context, as I am sure you know, is difficult at best to gather over the net. Thankfully nothing else was damaged that I saw from the once over I gave it when I got home, I didn't want to add a bumper to the cost. It was one of those approx 100 gallon hard plastic jobs that doesn't have any give. This is one of the biggest gripes I have about where my folks live, it's a new subdivision (less than 3 years old) and has zero street lights on it's road. I don't know about you guys but my headlights don't work nearly as good as I would like them to. I did go over there in the daylight and managed to find the assembly door. It is a little dinged and the paint around the edges is messed up, but in better condition than I thought it would be. It looks like the mounting brackets snapped off instead of bending the door up. Not sure if I am just going to keep it as a spare, paint it and put back on the new assembly I have on the way or just hang it on the wall as a decoration.
The guy who lived there had just gotten home when I hit it and didn't want to believe that his can was in the road since he had just came up the driveway. Told me that he has trouble with drunk kids racing up and down the road and that one guy even flipped his car into the field across the street from his house. Which I found odd since my folk's subdivision entrance was around 50 yards down the road and they never mentioned anything of the sort. He then let out that when he got home, he got out of his truck to pick up the can but since it had a lot of water in it, he just put it back and finished driving up to his house. My best guess is that if it had water in it from the rain it might have sloshed around and knocked the can over or he was just sloppy in putting it back down. I was just beyond mad because I only got the car back on the road 4 days ago and now I have to garage her until I fix yet another issue. It just seems that if it's not one thing, it's always something else.

got bored and have been tired of seeing these pieces looking faded and worn
and did this....much better
and then screw it, gong back to black again on the intake. It used to look NBM like the car color.

Made up my mind that in addition to the Ls6 intake and LCA's I'm going to add the Kee Audio level 2 speaker package with some of my over time money as a bonus this spring.
Anyone have this package, Kee emailed me the level 2 had better subs other than that was the same as level 1. ? Is the extra $80($299 vs $379) worth spending on the subs or is level 1 enough? Any input

I have an upgraded setup from Kee and to me it was worth the money. I needed new speakers as several were in bad shape on my TA that I've owned since it was new. My car is loud and replacing the head unit wasn't required for my needs so the Kee Audio system was perfect for me.

wire hide mod part 2:
Drilled 1/2" hole to fit the hood release cable through
Slide the cable through the hole, the other wire is for my line lock. File down any spurs and sharp edges, I'll go back and insert a grommet. Also I did not even know my friend was there till I posted this pic
I used the wire hold down on the underside of the wheel well to hole cable in place
Feed cable back along it's natural path and reattach to hood latch

New headlight assembly came in and I got it installed. I need to spend some time getting it aligned right but for right now the bird is back on the road. Turns out that the upper fiberglass bumper support was broken when I hit the trashcan as well. Does anyone know a part number for it?
