Gave her a long over due bath so she once again looks like the classy lady that she is.

Thanks! After washing her up yesterday I went cruising around with the tops off and decided that the bath just wasn't enough. So I stopped by wally world on the way home, picked up some supplies and did the CETA mod. I think it turned out decently well considering I've never done any time of auto paint work before. Not to mention it's from a rattle can. I am considering doing this to the side mirrors and sail panel as well.

I was going to start the fuel pump swap, but realized that I am going to need some additional parts. Instead, I spliced in a new set of DRL sockets I sourced through Rock Auto. Our DRL's still worked, but the sockets were a bit "crispy" and had certainly seen better days.

installed my UMI short stick last night...it seriously took me atleast 10mins to get my hurst knob off...that damn thing was LOCKED on and did not want to let go. It looked like all it had on it was blue lock tight once I got it off, but it felt like damn red lock tight that was then covered in super glue.....

Changed the fluid in the rear and swapped out the pasenger side axle seal. It was leaking... again!

Blew out the same rear axle seal in my Moser, second time in a week and 3rd in two years! thinking there is something wrong inside that piece of crap.

I measured everything and decided to not seat the seal up against the lip in the axle tube when I installed it. I kept it out maybe 1/16" hoping that the combination of it riding in a different location and being further past the transition in the axle will help. I used a seal installer and measured all around the perimeter to ensure that it is square in the axle tube. I also applied a very thin bead of Ultra Copper gasket maker around the circumference of the tube. Time will tell.

It isn't cutting the seal, and the axle shaft looks and feels perfectly fine in the area where the seal lip makes contact. Not a clue why it has leaked twice now.

What about the vent for your diff? If it's clogged, that can cause leaks. Your diff is newish, right, so that really shouldn't be a problem, but something to look at anyway.
