Volant CAI
Hi,
Thinking about putting in a Volant CAI. Likes / dislikes? Will the service engine light come on because the engine is not used to that much air?
Thanks

There are members here who run the Volant setup and have no complaints.

No check engine light should occur.
Just don't do anything silly like descreen the MAF.

I ran the dual cone on my SS, never had any trouble out of it. I liked how you could hear the air being sucked it when you hit the throttle. i also liked how much cleaner it was since my car was no longer a bottom feeder.

I would think not cosidering the seal off the normal duct work running down over the radiator..but Ive never seen under the hood of a sleek beak or a z28, only my SS

I'll be the first to vote in the dislike column
That's the ugliest looking filter setup I've ever seen.

Nope. They don't it has to seal to the hood to work properly. I honestly don't like the Volant mainly because the fitment to me was horrible. Not to the car but that the "lid" was two pieces so there was a huge potential for air leaks and I could never get the neck to sit how I wanted it. If it was 1 piece I would definitely love it, that and if they had a 102 or 104 version to match up with my tb and intake so there is no or virtually no turbulence and or restrictions in the intake tract. I sold mine to go with a FTP 104 lid.

I had a minor fitment issue, the filter body, MAF, and TB didn't line up QUITE right, but it worked just fine
