I agree with you on this. It is in the same general price range as its competition so I don't see how it is overpriced. My 06 dodge charger rt daytona had a sticker price of $38, xxx, yes I know it isn't the same car but it is in the same market. So when you factor in inflation as well as and other options that it comes with standard, it actual is a pretty good deal as far as I am concerned. Although I am suprised they didn't put some sort of SS logo on the front.

I thought interior is completely different in the new SS? It looks a lot better IMO than the G8 dash. And as far as the trans goes, why not just wait for GM to offer it with a manual, which is likely to come second year since the Ausi version has a stick in it
