Red w/ Black Stripes- 1994 Camaro & 2012 Camaro
[blur][/blur] when tabbing out of the editor
It appears to be an issue on this site as well as others -- why does your site try to automatically add some blur BB code to posts when you attempt to tab out of the editor box? [BLUR][/BLUR]

I just tried this and I got the same pop up about the [BLUR] tag. My question is, why are you hitting the tab key?

I would guess he's trying to tab to the post reply button and then hit enter to submit the post. I do that on a lot of forms but never tried it in the reply boxes. I got the blur tag too.

As stated - hitting tab twice and then pressing the spacebar to post a reply is 2nd nature for those of us who are real forum whores.
I'm on Google Chrome and it happens every single time. All you have to do is put your cursor in the quick reply box (type test, for example) then hit tab on your keyboard and you'll get a popup asking about what text to blur out. When you hit cancel, it automatically puts the [BLUR][/BLUR] tag into the textbox. I believe this used to happen on CamaroZ28 and LS1Tech as well (Are you all owned by InternetBrands?) but it looks like they fixed it on their forums.
FWIW - I own MiFBody (Michigan F-Body) and am an administrator on LTxTech (two fbody forums that are vBulletin based) and I haven't seen it on either of my forums.
It appears the only browser it doesn't do it in is Internet Explorer -- but who actually uses IE anyway?Last edited by meissen; 05-30-2013 at 07:52 AM.

It has been doing that to me for months. I just learned to ignore it.

That's interesting. I'm a mouse user
I just used the tab key to get into the quick reply and then just hit (alt + S) to make this post. Didn't get the [BLUR] tag this time around.

Hadn't tried Alt-S -- I'll give that a shot.
Edit: that works good! Learned something new - thanks!
