SS hood
So i would like to get an ss ram air hood. Kind of afraid to get a fiber glass or carbon fiber one because I want it to fit good. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on a brand that is ok?
A factory one would be nice but they can be really spendy if you can even find one.
Thanks

You get what you pay for. Hold out for OEM.

I say keep looking, stock fits the best. I found an SS hood for mine a couple years ago on a forum for $400. It was even the right color!

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
OEM is the only way to go. The others do not fit correctly and they need body work before you paint them. Factory is always best.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

There are a lot of options out there besides the SS hood that look great on our cars. However, nothing will compete with the quality and fitment of an OEM hood, nothing.
