Hope they are ok......I swear it looks like you can see a bolt of fire coming at he camera at the 4 second mark.

That was a sub atomic explosion for sure. Wow, the power of that blast is something I never want to see again.

yeah, I live about 100 miles from there, one of the circulating pics of the mushroom cloud is actually taken in Arlington, 75 miles away. it was an above ground explosion, but registered a 2.1 on the Richter scale. The Shockwave leveled dozens of buildings. the shockwave was felt several miles away
The amount of Ammonium Nitrate in that facility was I think 12X the amount at the OKC bombing

It was being circulated that it might be related to the Boston Marathon bombs. Just my opinion, but fertilizer plants have the constituents that bombs are made of. I think West, Tx is far too remote and out of the way to be a target for Al Queda or Hamas or Muslim radical terrorists....

I don't see them related. Static electricity or even a bad batch mixed up could set that stuff off, Hell some dumb ass tossing a cigarette he thought was smashed out could start a fire setting off a chain reaction.
