Which master Cylinder?
Okay so I believe since I just replaced my clutch that it's only right to do the master cylinder with it however when I read up on who's to get the crowd favors tick performance's master cylinder. But its 300 bucks, I don't really have that kind of cash to be spendin so I was looking for an alternative. My findings are as follows
Tick 300
McLeod 306
Ram 140
RPM 89
My question is what's with the huge leaps in pricing? would I be set with a cheaper one or is it really worth it for tick's? I have a Monster Stage 2 clutch now just for extra info....

I've never really heard too much talk about any of the one's you've listed so I can't comment on those...but the Tick MC is supposed to be a great product. Everyone I know who has it installed loves it. I've never seen one bad review on it.
From what I've seen, people always use just the newer 02 GM MC or go with the Tick unit.

Well ram sells a clutch, don't know too much and I think rpm is race proven motorsports? I just don't think I can justify 300 on a master cyl. Especially since I dropped 650 on this clutch

Well, I would look at the overall big picture here. You know our cars inherently have a bad design when it comes to the hydraulic system. Put in a cheap MC and you may have clutch disengagement issues at WOT. Just something to think about.

If the tick is too much, do like jon mentioned and go with a later style gm mc. It's a pain but the master can always be swapped out later if you go for the tick

Will the later model MC solve some of the problems of the 1998 MC like high RPM shifting?

even with the drill mod it might not fix the high rpm shifting on OEM MC's

not trying to be a thread jacker, but my clutch pedal is spongey for about 1/3rd of the stroke... guess I should look into a new hydraulic system too? was going to flush the fluid and do the drill mod... but would it be worth it to just go tick?

The Tick MC is worth it. Eat Ramen noodles for a month if you have to, because it solves every problem you ever experienced with a stock MC.

Ok then. I was kidding
But really, I'm notThat's when I pulled mine and had it built by RPM Transmission. I also installed a Spec clutch and Hurst Billet shifter. Haven't had an issue since. That was in 2010. I'm still running my stock MC and slave. I plan on buying the Tick though soon.
