ABC 20/20 Reports on Carfax and Bridges
I watched the episode on TV last night and found the videos online just now. Yeah, the Carfax news isn't surprising to me. As for bridges, I've driven over the #1 cited many times and (without knowing why) it scared me more than any other bridge.

The bridges get inspections though, maybe it's different depending on the state, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it. And of course the carfax isn't 100% fact, people need to learn to do their own research, carfax even states it's not 100% fact.

Light Pewter Metallic- y2k 8-cylinder catfish
If something isn't reported on a vehicle, CarFax won't have a record of it. Pretty good logic there. As for bridges? Oklahoma has the worst.

As I said, I know Carfax is overrated, but I don't understand how it can miss accidents that have been reported to the police.
Re bridge inspections, the video makes it sound like professionals strongly disagree on safety - one guy might say it's fine for years but another thinks it could collapse soon. Also, widely recommended repairs don't get made. Personally I'm not worried about dying in a bridge collapse, but I can't remember the last time I drove over a long bridge
