OEM C5 Z06 Wheels
I have looked for previous posts covering this, to no avail. I want to know if it is possible to use OEM C5 Z06 wheels without using spacers, and not rubbing the wheel well. Is it dependent on the tire size? Below are the specs of the wheels, and the tire sizes I would run if it is possible. If I need a spacer, what size spacer do I need? Also, is it possible to run a smaller tire on the front wheels; 255?
Wheel Specs:
Front- 17X9.5
Rear- 18X10.5
Tire Specs:
Front- 265/40- 17
Rear- 295/35-18

I ran oem c5's with 285 in rear and they rubbed. I did the BFH mod and they would rub going around corners. I finally said screw it and sold them. I would definitely recommend spacers in the rear

Offset is 54 and 58mm. From what I have read 46-53mm is definitely a safe bet, but I'm sure someone on here has used OEM Z06 wheels.

remember that even though tires may have the same designation in size some are actually wider than others. either way with the BFH mod, shaving the bump stops and an adjustable panhard you should be ok. no promises though lol Im actually running 315/17 now in back without any problem without the BFH mod shaving the bump stops. Although my car is not lowered

FYI, I purchased C6 Z06 styled wheels with the fitment of a C5 Z06 (17X9.5 front and 18X10.5 rear) with ~55mm offset and installed them. They fit fantastic! Car had to be lifted from the suspension to avoid the bump-stop, but they look great. I will probably have to get rid of the bump stop if I do anything bigger than 295s in the back. Just needs to be lowered now.

Not sure if this helps, but, I just installed new shocks and lowering springs. While doing the rears I removed the bump-stop, and it looks like there's plenty of room for more tire under there, even with it lowered. When I need new tires I'm probably going to put a 315 on the rears.

I got aftermarket Z06 Motorsports wheels on my 01 SS, factory offset +54mm fronts +58mm rears.
Had to do the BFH mod on the inner rear fenderwells and did the lip on the fenders.
Once I did that and re-centered the rear axle due to my car being lowered, I had no issues after that.
I think I got a thread on ls1tech.com with pics and shit...also had to remove the bumpstops.
275-40-17" front tires 295-35-18" for the rears.
